What is termination protection

Terminating a program means shutting it down. The first thing that many modern viruses or trojans try to do is disable your existing security system. They do this for one simple reason: to get full and free access to your computer with no opposition.

There are a variety of ways that a program can be terminated - everything from pretending that your computer is shutting down, thru attacking it directly and forcing it to crash.
